Principal Dentist

Dr. D. Jason Eklund is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. Upon completion of the Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree in 1992, Dr. Eklund professionally associated with and soon acquired the established general dentistry practice of Dr. Donald Blackledge in Pearl, MS, a long-time beloved community dentist. Dr. Eklund has practiced family dentistry in the city of Pearl for this entire professional career of 32 years. He has watched his young patients grow into adults with children of their own. Dr. Eklund continues to serve as the comprehensive dental home for multi-generational families within Rankin County and the surrounding area. Dr. Eklund is a skilled clinician providing preventative treatment based on each patient’s individual diagnosis and plan of care.

Dr. Eklund is fortunate to have dedicated dental auxiliary members supporting his clinical practice. His office manager, dental assistants, and dental hygienists have provided care within this oral healthcare team for decades and their patients become more like family.

Dr. Eklund met and married Dr. Neva Penton, a pediatric dentist, soon after they completed their dental training and together they have one adult son, Graham.
